The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) welcomes Wayne Panton in his new role as chairman of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).
Mr Panton is known for his active role in the community, having been involved in a number of organisations and authorities, including the Caymanian Bar Association, the Port Authority of the Cayman Islands, and the National Trust. He was also a previous partner at Walkers law firm, and more recently served as Cayman’s minister of Financial Services, Commerce and Environment from 2013 – 2017.
“Mr Panton’s arrival to CIMA’s board is excellent news,” expressed IMAC chair Erin Brosnihan. “As we all know, Mr Panton is no stranger to the financial services industry, and as minister he was very supportive of Cayman’s international insurance industry. We look forward to working with him again in positioning Cayman as the leading jurisdiction for risk management.”
