Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – August 12, 2025 – The Cayman Islands has once again been recognised as a global leader in the captive insurance industry, winning Cell Captive Domicile of the Year and earning Highly Commended in the category of Captive Domicile of the Year – More than $5bn GWP at the prestigious Captive Review US Awards 2025.
The awards celebrate excellence and innovation in the US captive insurance market, recognising jurisdictions, managers, and service providers that have demonstrated outstanding performance over the past year.
Judges praised Cayman as “a leading, well-established domicile for cell captives, known for its flexible, business-friendly regulations, mature ecosystem, and reputation for innovative structures”, highlighting its popularity for A&H, fintech, ILS, and ESG-linked programs, as well as its robust legal and regulatory framework and respected SPC legislation.
