Colombia and Cayman to Sign Tax Exchange Agreement
The Cayman Islands and Colombia are to sign an automatic exchange of tax information agreement under the Multilateral Convention on 1 July 2014. The TIEA will be in accordance with global regulatory standards.

Cayman Captive Industry Attends RIMS 2014
Representatives from the Cayman Islands captive insurance industry made an impact at the Risk Management Society conference in Denver, Colarado. Members of the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman and members of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority were out in full force to talk to conference delegates about the benefits a Cayman captive.

House Approves Bills on Partnership Formation
Legislation to increase Cayman’s attractiveness for partnership formation, as well as a law that will give more rights to persons who are not direct parties in a contract, was approved on Friday, 11 April in the Legislative Assembly.
